Regarding fresh Aloe. I have an aloe plant. I have xantham gum, I have rose water and I have raw apple cider vinegar and when I combined them all in this little blender it made a perfect 'suspension' that I have kept in my fridge which I apply to my face each day which helps heal my skin immensely!

Works well and very powerful, but needs better design
I bought this item a month ago. The grinder I received looks nothing like the Amazon photo. I was dismayed to see the cheap and poorly designed grinding cup. It's a soft, thin (and possibly toxic?) plastic with ridges (!) that seem to serve no purpose other than to catch ground food and make cleaning difficult. I'm worried what will happen when the cup cracks. Will the company replace it? This is an item made in China and I can find no info about the company anywhere. Just who is Chef Pro?

That said, it is an extremely powerful motor. I wanted something that would grind Thai spice pastes and Indonesian sambals without the addition of water and mess of a blender and this does the trick. I had a Sumeet, which I loved, but it was stolen. If anyone from the company is out there I'd sure appreciate an email and a new cup design, plus I'd like to purchase another blade. I'm worried that I'll end up with a powerful motor with nowhere to go once the cup breaks.
Used to make nut butters
I bought this as a gift for someone who really wanted a nut grinder because he loves all kinds of nut butters.

It has worked great on all nuts, EXCEPT ALMONDS. They kept getting stuck. The product only left dent in the almonds in the end.

Also, the instructions say that if the motor gets too hot to let it cool. You may not feel the heat but you can smell it when it does this. Not my favorite but at least the manufacturer gives you a heads up.

This was the smallest, least expensive product that makes nut butters. I'm happy with the purchase. Until I'm rich and can buy a real nut grinder.

UPDATE 9/13/12: 6 weeks later it stopped working. The person I gave this gift to only used about twice a week and is diligent about reading and following instructions. It was good while it was working but $69.99 should have bought something that lasted much longer. If I receive a replacement and it works longer, I will update my review.
