Wedding Gift from my Amazon registry!
My Mom and my Mother in Law both have Corelle sets. One is green and one is yellow; you know the green and yellow I mean. That late 70's, early 80's avocado green and harvest gold. Well, the point is, those dishes still look great. Except for the patterns, you would never know they were 25 plus years old.
I was hoping for the same durability with my dishes, but since I'm not willing to wait 25 years to write a review, all I can say at this point is that they are beautiful and holding up well so far. I look at them, and I want to drop them onto the ground, just to see how they don't break. But the truth is, I'm just way too chicken to do that. They are really pretty dishes, great sizes. One big change from the old sets is the cups. The old sets have tea cups, these are more like coffee cups, which is great. I mean really, who uses tea cups anyway?

Urban Arc from Corelle
I decided to get a new dish set when I moved instead of taking my pieced together set with me. I looked at the Sango Nova sets but decided that the stoneware was too heavy and more likely to get chipped, I have a few stoneware plates and each has nicks. So Corelle was the way to go, my previous Corelle pieces are all in mint condition and the new Urban Arc set seems to be of the same great quality. The square shape and monotone pattern are very eye catching and contemporary. The pattern is "slightly" raised and I hope it doesn't get scratched, but from the reviews of other patterns like Simple Lines that doesn't seem likely. My only complaint is the absolutely worthless coffee cups that come with each of these sets. Even if Corelle decided to include 4 of their acrylic(plastic)cups that would be much better. I'm sure most are like me and already have a favorite coffee cup, and if you're serving dinner you would not serve drinks in these cups.

Excellent Value
Nice enough for company, lightweight and very resilient - I am a major klutz and have dropped both bowls and plates thus far with no visible damage. I've had these for almost a year now and would recommend them without hesitation. I would have given 5 stars except the mugs which accompany the set are of a different material making the color match a hair off and the mugs are comparatively heavy - I rarely use them.
